Fon is such a success that every week new options are born based on it. The last one has been created in France and is called KillBills. It offers a system that anyone can use in order to allow access to his wi-fi network without the risks of just opening it. If you want to use it, you need a Linksys WRT54G router and download the KillBills firmware.

Your article is weird, you say captive portal such as wifidog or chillispot are based on FON ?
Captive portals for internet sharing are used since 2003 ! FOn is just a closed community concept , but use the same chillispot as everybody , nothing new….
It’s just that people discovere that they could share their bandwidth, but use the very known FON to make paying hotspots , where they could just make free hotspots like everybody have done for 3 years…
So please , FOn is unique because you pay to access it , all other community systems are free for everyone..
