Fon has come to an agreement with Neuf Cegetel, one of the main Internet providers in France, with 1.2 million ADSL clients. Soon, users will have Fon’s software in their routers, so that they’ll become Fon hotspots. The agreement will come into effect next June 1st and it will allow Neuf Cegetel clients to use their wi-fi computers or mobiles anywhere in the world where they are covered by Fon. This measure could provoke a war in the market of VoIP over wi-fi in France, where Free has already been offering a similar service for a few days now.
