The North American operator Bellsouth has launched a wimax offer in Florida and Georgia, that arises as a backup for ADSL connections. If the regular access to the Internet failed, companies would still have the opportunity of using the wireless connection. The service cost is $30 per month, which makes it also available for students who don’t want to install a new phone line. This system reaches speeds of 1,5 megas and it is received through a router that must be connected to the computer.
