This is an interesting article published in the New York Times that deals with the problems suffered by those who leave wi-fi unprotected. It seems that more and more people take advantage of this situation to “steal”broadband. This practise has already been baptized: it is called ‘piggybacking’.It is widely spread in the USA, but there aren’t as many thieves there as in Latin America. Apparently, the fact that it doesn’t feel as something illegal, of that no one is harmed makes people steal broadband connection. But who is not guilty?

You can stop piggybacking with our free WIFI access blocker for Win2K and XP. If you want even more control try our Captive Portal Services. They are free while we are in beta tests. Let’s keep those intruders out!
