A public-private coalition in Cincinnati (USA) supports the installation of wi-fi hotspots for poor people. This supportive access points, of which 20 are already working, are managed by volunteers and funded by private donations. Here goes an example: a family can sponsor a squared metre of an access point by paying only 150$ per month. Time Warner, Cincinnati’s City Council and the NGO Lily Pad do also take part in this initiative.
