The media talks about wimax more and more often every day. Last Sunday, Ariadna de El Mundo, the weekly supplement of the Spanish paper, included an extensive article about this new technology titled “With wimax, connection for everybody” (”Con wimax, cobertura para todos”). And we can tell that Miguel Ángel Criado, the author, had researched this blog. The article is focused on the experience lived in Mijas, a Spanish town, where wimax, that joins the municipal premises, and wi-fi, that takes broadband to the rural areas, are combined. Apart from analysing in depth the advantages of using wimax, the author also reveals a scoop: America’s Cup that will be hold in Valencia in 2007, will enjoy wireless covering thanks to wimax.
