Motorola has adduced the biggest amount of information about the project that intends on spreading in Macedonia the world’s biggest wireless network. Apparently, the main network consists on around 130 wimax relays that provide with connection to the 531 wi-fi points that are installed in schools and the civil services.All in all, the system covers more than 200 towns – 95% of the 25.300 square Km. country. The platform for wimax is called Canopy; it does already provide with Internet services 500 schools and 1.000 businesses. The whole infrastructure has been funded by the North American agency USAid, which helps to make the prices very low, between 9 and 15 euros a month.
